Supervision

I am a Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst (TSTA) and have significant experience supervising counsellors, psychotherapists and trainees from a wide variety of therapeutic models and settings. I have a Diploma in Clinical Supervision (Metanoia Institute) and have worked extensively in private practice, the NHS and counselling agencies with both individuals and groups. I am a Senior Lecturer at the Metanoia Institute and work with many students and graduates online as well as face-to-face. I offer longer sessions and supervision days to enable supervisees to travel to see me face-to-face when necessary.

I am qualified to supervise UKCP registered psychotherapists and BACP accredited counsellors, as well as taking Transactional Analysis, humanistic and integrative trainees through their advanced psychotherapy training and to final examination.

I believe that effective supervision involves a real and authentic relationship which enables the therapist to be both supported and challenged to encourage their personal and professional development. I work relationally with my supervisees, focusing on mutuality, and use the supervisory relationship to highlight possible unconscious processes in their therapeutic work. I believe that collaborative and honest discussion helps to provide a relaxed environment that encourages the supervisee to bring all of their work and ‘mistakes’ to supervision and thereby develop safe and ethical clinical practice.

How much does it cost?

Supervision sessions are £70 for 50 minutes. Payment is by cash on the day or by BACS transfer before the session.
